You can find the single on iTunes and on Amazon and it is well worth the 99 cent download fee if you have a Star Wars "purist" in your house like we do. (Hi, honey!)
I checked out their website (not easy to find, but thank you google for coming to the rescue) and found out a bit more about the band:
from the website
"The Board of Education is author and biologist Kevin Emerson, composer and quantum physicist Eric Goetz and producer and anthropologist Jon Goff.
The BoE is also just a band, a band of starry-eyed dreamers, of
yearning wonderers, a band of fools, on a voyage, a mission, a quest, to
bring you songs about things. What things? ALL things."
Jillian and I are sold. I think this is going to be a kids music group to keep your eye on if you have older kids. (Looking for music for younger children? Check out last week's post on Kira Wiley and Lorraine Nelson Wolf )
If you're on the hunt for music that won't drive parents crazy, but kids still love (isn't that a quest we're all on?) give this band's fun, silly, happy music a listen. I'm glad we did.
In fact, if the ten year old's constant singing about ewoks, Han, and George Lucas is any indication, we're well on our way to becoming fans of this kindie rock band. I know we'll be adding a copy of The Board of Education's The First Album to our collection.
I'm looking forward to watching this group and to what the future holds for them.
What music has been rocking your babies?
