3rd Grade Main Lesson block:
Language Arts - we're doing a "just for fun" main lesson block as we finish our school year.
We're using B is for Bookworm to discuss reading, writing, libraries, and books.
There is a teacher's guide to go w/ the book here (pdf file)
To this we add daily Mental Math exercises, handwriting, and reading out loud.
We're also joining in with the iVillage PBS Kids Summer Reading program.

Monday - Purple Day
- Cooking/Baking - frozen fruit popsicles
- 3rd Grade: K is for Knowing
Tuesday - Red Day
- Painting day - watercolors (outside, if the weather permits)
- 3rd Grade: L is for Library of Congress
Wednesday - Yellow Day
- Coloring - crayon rubbings of things from our nature walk
- 3rd Grade: M is for Media Center
Thursday - Orange Day
- 3rd Grade: N is for Call Number
Friday - Green Day
- 3rd Grade: O is for Online
- Friday Night Nest - family movie night
