Weather

I got a few emails asking about the Weather Song that we sing.  I originally found it in one of our EARTHSchooling enrichment packets.  It is very simple.

To the tune of B-I-N-G-O

Today the Sun is in the sky
and sunny is the weather
S-U-N-N-Y
S-U-N-N-Y
and Sunny is the weather.

Or you can have
C-L-OU-D-Y
R-A-I-N-Y
S-N-O-W-Y
F-O-G-G-Y
W-I-N-D-Y
according to whatever weather you are having that day

After we sing our weather song, we color in the leaf on our Weather Tree - an idea we took from the book All Year Round   Our weather tree is just a simple black and white image that we color in with colored pencils, but there are some AMAZING Weather Trees over at Christopherus that you should take a look at if you're feeling motivated to create a big weather project with your kids.

Are you studying weather this year?  How are you keeping track of the changing seasons and weather in your homeschool?
